Cam may want his contract, and maybe he deserves it, but he needs to know he is no Mr. October. He is not the straw that stirs the drink.

Chancellor has more than enough support from his teammates recently. Two weeks ago Marshawn put on number 31 to show his support. This past week Bennett went to the airwaves voicing his support and the importance of Cam being on the field.

I am not going to sit here and dispute that importance, and coming off a loss to a new look Ram offense that was able to chunk away big plays on the D...I too have my concerns.

Cam is by far a top tier safety in not just the NFC, but the League. Chancellor was instrumental in getting the team together for extra work this offseason, and is a team captain. He helps set the defense and Earl Thomas credits Chancellor with much of his success.

Last week should not fall back on the defense and missing Chancellor though, and in all phases of the game the team faltered. The offense did well overall running the ball, but we are so used to seeing Lynch go for 100 which did not happen. The Rams also got to Wilson 6 times showing some exposure on the line. Special teams also gave up a big touchdown to the Rams, and a mishit/ onside kick to start OT really highlighted the kind of day Seattle had all together.

The defense may be bending, but it has not broke without Cam,,,and won't. The team did give up nearly 300 through the air. They did let the Rams convert nearly 55 percent of their third downs also, but our D is still better than the Bears right? Even without Cam I would say so. They still got their turnovers and stopped the run.

That being said, it Is a bit of a miracle they lost to Rodgers and the Pack in week one. The Packers were able to get only 189 yards through the air. The newly acquired rehire of James Jones accounted for the majority of air game. Given this, I would hope we can do just as well as Chicago even as visitors. It has been sometime since the Hawks have traveled to historic Lambeau Field though, and the stage is more than set with Greenbay probably still having a sour taste in their mouth from the last time the teams met.

The game is being hailed as the rematch. You may remember last winter in the NFC Championship game. Seattle was able to pull off the impossible as they recovered an onside kick (unlike last week) and went on to win from behind late. In my opinion, which is slightly biased, it is the game of the week. How could it not be though when these two teams faced for a spot in Superbowl 49 last year.

Two things are certain

1. Seattle wins and Chancellor nears closer or surpasses the 2 mil dollar mark in losses.

2. Seattle loses, 12th man shows upper management just how loud they can get. The media and Chancellor talk will probably be too much not to cut a deal.
