I've had my moments, too, jschario. I've cursed and, I'll admit, teeth have been gnashed.
However! If you study, if you really spend time to map out plays as they're designed, how the defense presents itself against the formation/personnel, and how the play evolves over time, I think you'll be pleasently surprised by DB's ingenuity and grasp of offensive and DEFENSIVE concepts.
Take, for instance, last week's third down incompletion to Luke Willson (who slipped) when Jimmy was wide open on the other side of the field. Deplorable, right?
Look at the defensive alignment pre-snap. Luke, a SPARQ'ed up TE got a 1-on-1 vs. a LB. Jimmy was the under on a modified pick play. That Luke/LB matchup is something you'll take everyday. Right play call, right QB read, failed execution.
This is one of many examples of DB's supposed failure as a coordinator that I feel people unduly abuse him for.
That being said, if I never saw another bubble screen, it'd be too soon. ::smile:: We can all improve in some way, right?
