Rockies* coach, Great First Name and All-Around Nice Guy Jeff Gwinn sent along an update on his son, who many of us have been following since high school:

Distinguished Gentlemen and Esteemed Columnists of Baseball (even politics) Extraordinaire,
Just wanted you to know that Jeremy is going to leave on Thursday morning to drive to AZ for the Royals'
Minor League Camp for Spring Training. This ought to be a great experience and so different than being
there during the summer when few people were there. He has no idea of what the next step will be. I will
let you know what is going on. Just hope he can have a healthy year and continue to grow as a young man
and pitcher.
Today I was thankful to get to watch him throw a short bullpen before he takes off. Steve Lockett, Jeremy's competitive
team coach here in CO was kind enough to take this and send it to me with my old phone.
