Okay, can breathe a sigh. I didn't want to be saying something until it happened so.....Jeremy just signed. Long day with physicals. He had been at their Training Facility since 6am but just signed right before the Chick fila closed....he is now a professional baseball player!
He gets [xyz] for a signing bonus in part in 60 as has to go through commissioner's office and then second payment next year. This comes with separate reimbursement for him giving up the scholarship at Bradley. He will have approximately [90%] put into an escrow account for education only in the future. Coming from small town, basically a home schooler and then a small junior college, that is beyond what we could have thought.

Then into the escrow office to hear the sweet sound of ka-ching, and it's on to the long grind of physicals, logistics, moving in with a bunch of great athletes, and ...
Pro baseball player. Guess when Jeff and 9-year-old Jeremy headed down to the local ballfield to step onto the rubber, they meant it.

Thanks once again Jeff!! Hard to believe but Jeremy signed officially late the other night and is a professional baseball player! Bradley would have been great but this is the dream come true to get the opportunity. Royals are a great organization and have the ability to maximize young pitchers. Lots of competition but isn't that why you want to be a pro?

What a fantastic story to follow in the coming years! Very exciting times. I cannot imagine what it would be like if one of my own boys were in that position. Great job Mom and Dad. Enjoy every minute :)
Looks like rookie ball will be in AZ starting on Tuesday. I think in a division with Mariners, Rangers and another AL friendly I think. I appreciate the thanks. I will let you know what is going on. Now the work begins!!! Hopefully with some fun too!
