Sounds like a fun time.
Looking for something fun for your kids, nieces or nephews to do over their winter vacation? Choose something constructive over simple childcare for the best experience and bang for your buck—like a session of Winter Camp with the Seattle Sounders! The Sounders have a long history of helping out with the community, and one of the cool ways that they help empower the youth of Seattle is through their annual Winter Break Camp. The camp is also co-sponsored by several corporations, including McDonalds, Zaw Artisan Bake-at-Home Pizza, EA Sports and Xbox One.
Camps run from December 28 through 30, 2015. Half Day Camp, which costs $110 per session, takes place from 9 AM to 12 PM throughout the week. Full Day Camp is $170 and runs from 9 AM to 3 PM. Advanced technical camp, which costs $200, runs until 4 PM.
Camps are available for nearly all ages, with programs for kids as young as four and as old as 18. Programs are also available for multiple skill levels, with half-day programs open to new and intermediate players, full-day programs for the same experience levels and even advanced tech camps for serious soccer players who dream of joining the MLS one day. Kids who are new to soccer will develop skills, learn the basics and play scrimmages together while more advanced kids can look forward to coach time to really hone in on their skills and improve their game.
Interested in other camps beyond the winter break opportunities? Be sure to check out the advanced summer camps available for goal keepers and scorers ages 11 through 18, the overnight residential weeklong camps for ages 11 through 18 and the Adult Dream Camp for the “ultimate Sounders experience” for any adult who wishes he or she could be one of the Seattle Sounders for the day. During overnight programs, campers can expect to do similar activities to the winter camp as well as analyze World Cup matches through viewing experiences, live on Northwestern University campus in the dorm rooms and even participate in non-soccer activities while they make new friends and memories. Meals are balanced, healthy foods and dietary restrictions can be accommodated. There are also Youth Fantasy Camps, Spring Break Camps and other programs to check out.
