Storm Cheers on Huskies
Dawgs move toward the Final Four

If the Washington Huskies women’s basketball team is any indication, this is going to be THE year for Seattle Sports. The Seattle Storm is raving about the women’s team on social media and for good reason: they are rocking it right now. In fact, they are headed toward the Final Four next after making it to the Elite Eight just days ago.

How’s your bracket challenge going along? Did you have the Dawgs in your final brackets? If not, there’s still a chance that you’re pleased about this development! Some fans are saying that the Storm needs to take note of Kelsey Plum and plan on drafting her once she enters. Talia Watson is another one to definitely watch. Others are sharing their bracket picks, comparing notes and seeing how well they match up to the actual results.

The big wish from so many fans is to see the Huskies face the Huskies in a final round of excellence! Honestly, how cool would that be if UW went up against UConn? Seattle fans of course hope that the U Dawgs will win if it comes to that, but either team’s victory would be sweet. That said, UW hasn’t won in years and it would be pretty rewarding to see them make it that far. As much as Breanna Stewart deserves it her senior year at UConn, she has had three wins behind her already, right? Most fans are not surprised over the Huskies win over Kentucky, but some have expressed bewilderment about Stanford beating ND. Did you predict that in your bracket challenge? The final score was 85-72 in the NCAA Lexington Regional Semi-final at Rupp Arena in Lexington. Fans who were present said the game showed the incredible power of the ladies on the team and they proved that they could face anyone and come out on top. There are definitely some prospective players that Jenny Boucek and company need to keep their eyes on in the next couple of years.

On March 27, the Huskies beat Stanford 85-76 with Chantel Osahor leading the team with 24 points and 18 rebounds. So who’s next? Syracuse? Tennessee? It sounds like the Dawgs are ready for you! We will find out who comes out on top next Sunday after the game.

Will you be watching? Have you caught the Husky games this season so far? Maybe you are rooting on Syracuse or Tennessee. Either way, let us know how your brackets are doing in the comments.
