Jenna O’Hea is Back
Storm player #4 signs on for the season

Yesterday the Seattle Storm fans receiving the exciting announcement that Alysha Clark is returning to the Seattle Storm for the 2016 basketball season. It was also announced by the team that Jenna O’Hea, forward number 4, is also returning to play for the team. Storm President & GM Alisha Valavanis stressed how important this was to the team’s goals this season, saying that both Clark and O’Hea are fan favorites who keep the locals very connected with the Storm. They are also good role models for the community as well as leaders on the team—but let’s also not forget how talented they are.

We discussed some of Clark’s achievements yesterday. O’Hea, according to Storm head coach Jenny Boucek, is both tough and professional, bringing “an elite work ethic” and “second-to-none humility and loyalty” to the team, high praise from Boucek. The coach went on to say, ““She has expanded her game into a legitimate playmaking threat on the wing and we are thrilled to have her back in Seattle.”

O’Hea herself told the press that she is extremely excited to be back with The Storm again. She says that she has always felt welcome not just by the team, but by the fans and the city of Seattle, too. She said that she feels blessed and hopes to give the city back what it’s given her.

During the 2015 season, O’Hea made appearances in every game. She started I 14 of 34 games, averaging 5.9 points per game and 2.4 assists per game. O’Hea is a native Australian and played for three years with Los Angeles before she became a member of the Storm during the 2014 season for a trade deal. She is 6’1 and weighs 174. Born on June 6, 1987, she has played for the WNBA for four years. This will be her fifth season with the organization. O’Hea’s single-game career high was 17 points.
