I was just turning the lineup into acrostic. I thought about using Ty Kelly except he doesn't make sense as a #4. The lineup spells JACKSDHZT.
I thought the Dodgers had decided not to move Kemp, although it could be that nobody involved wanted to pay enough of Kemps salary to make things work. I'm not certain it would've been the right move for the M's anyway.
You're right, we still have a huge lack of production at DH and 1b. The only other options I see are Choi and Peterson. Don't think either is ready to produce any better than the 5 guys who Have been used here that have struggled more than anything. Best to hope that Morales, who also had a decent opposite field double the day before (was misplayed and would've been an out vs many LF) is putting things together. If Morales is one and Denorfia is 1/2 then we need a 1b to figure things out and soon. Smoak has put up a AAA line that's exactly what I'd like to see him put up in MLB but it's not very likely those numbers wouldn't fall again in the show. I don't have an answer for 1b anyway.
