I do expect Almonte to head to Tacoma in the next day or two. And it may well be Z's call. It has to happen. But TWO sea changes are a tough thing, so i don't expect us to see Montero for a while. Actually it has him as a -19.7, but that also ignores the too shallow positioning issue as he was considerably better than that prior to '13.
And I would offer that so far there isn't much to show that Almonte is a 1st rate MLB CF, either.
Doc, I"m with you as to (lefty) Smoak in the #2 spot. I've thought so for a bit. The biggest skill he brings is his ability to walk. He's not a boomer, so let's not treat him as one.
