Just to jump in here with some stuff that was interesting:
Tui played left field: that's a double whammy -- Tui as a true McLemore, and Sweeney as bench bat -- and bad news for Mr. yet-to-draw-a-walk/.261 OBP Byrnes.
Even though Lee's outing was cut short, Kelley only went 1.1 IP so it wasn't really the stretching out opportunity (he gave up 6H, 1BB, 4 ER).
Wak didn't care for French or Cordero's stuff. Cordero not stepping up would make the Kelley-to-rotation experiment less likely, particularly if Vargas continues to look No.5-worthy.
Wak singled out James Jones for praise. 4th round pick sizzled in Everett in 45 games: .311/.392/.463. Not quite as whiff-tastic as some of the low-minors guys we've been used to, either, with 19 BB and 40 K.
