Very much agree. Frankly, after the Rams' opening possession the Seahawks were unable to stop them with anything but turnovers. Also, the Rams displayed an outstanding combination of speed and strength. Perhaps their bevy of young, high draft pick talent is finally ready to coalesce.

It was a road game the Hawks could have won. This game confirmed what we already knew from the last two seasons: The Seahawks are not an inexhorable juggernaut sort of team. They are a tough and talented team that usually wins with big plays in the fourth quarter. Occasionally during a season that recipe will fail. We didn't expect them to go undefeated. Frankly I expected them to go 1-1 with two road games to start the season.

The hard part of yesterday was that they had it in their hands and let it slip away. The Rams had something to do with that. To use a Peter Carroll favorite slogan, they competed for four quarters. They wanted it badly. They showed resilience. They prevailed.

edited to add: A comment from Doc in his mostly baseball related article today reminded this 60-year-old health-addled brain that the game probably turned on the decision on fourth and short to gamble a matchup of our hit-and-miss offensive line against their superior defensive line with a Lynch run up the gut. It was highly likely the blocking would fail, and it did. Lynch never had a chance.
