I'm on record saying that we would come out of this stretch of ten games with a losing record, probably 4-6 (okay, I said 4-5 because I didn't realize the NYY series was four games). As far as I'm concerned, we bought ourselves space by taking 2/3 from Houstan, a nearly superhuman feat. Now if we either take Paxton day, or one of the other two (probably equal odds there lol) we'll have hit my projection on the head.
Of course, Matt pointed out that a PLAYOFF team would do better than that. If we take Paxton day AND Felix day, cuz we're not gonna win Sale vs Moore, we'll have come out okay, I think. Then we face the Mets, Rangers, Royals, As, Angels, Orioles, Rays and Braves before we have to face the Fightin' Judges again. That's 25 games against teams that are a combined -21 games below 500. The very best teams in that stretch are KC and Tampa at +3 each, sharing the second WC spot. As brutal as these ten games are/have been, we've got a month of total mediocrity after the Beantown series. That's when we can make our run.
